Please note: you only have to book once for all sessions. Once booked, you are expected to turn up to all sessions.

This course is recommended for teachersin their 3rd, 4th and 5thyears of teaching

Session 1 Definitions and Styles of Leadership

Session 2 Dispositions for leadership

  • Goals for leadership, ie. Next 1, 5, 10 years.
  • Image and metaphor for yourself as a leader

Session 3 Knowledge for leadership

  • Understanding metacognitive thinking to support me as a leader
  • Understanding the needs of adults/different generations to enable me to lead

Session 4 Creating a Culture not just a Structure

Session 5 Developing core Interpersonal Skills

Please note that your school budget share will be debited on ledger code 7926 up to two weeks prior to attendance at this course, in line with the cancellation policy.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Course location, programme and any course materials will normally be sent to you prior to the start of the course. All cancellations must be sent in writing as soon as the applicant is aware that they are unable to attend. If the cancellation is received 6 weeks (or 30 working days) or more prior to the start of the course, cancellation will be free of charge. If the cancellation is received between 6 weeks and two weeks (10 working days) prior to the start of the course a cancellation charge of 50% of the course fee will apply. If the cancellation is received after this point a cancellation charge of 100% of the course fee will apply. Exeter Consortium has the right to amend or cancel any courses as a result of unforeseen circumstances.
