The aim of this session is to bring heads and senior leaders from Primary schools together to share 2017 EYFS, KS1 and KS2 performance data, We aim to offer the national, county and local picture and facilitate group discussions between leaders about the improvement plans that they are implementing this year.


Session 1 - National and County Analysis

Suzie Winters to give a national and Devon picture of performance data in EYFS, KS1 and KS2, and will explore main issues arising from 2 years of data under the new assessment framework.

Session 2 - Local Picture

Jon Lunn will examine attainment performance of ECTSA and raise questions for leaders to consider. Schools that have made strong improvement in 2017 will share their successes.

Session 3 - Feedback from Babcock on Moderation and Changes to 2018 Process

Joy Simpson will provide summary of main learning points from Babcock moderation process in 2017 and highlight changes to 2018 process.

Session 4 - Working Together

Group themed discussions about effective improvement strategies. Each group will focus on one theme (Maths, Reading, Writing) and with facilitation from a SLE.


Jon Lunn: Senior Associate for Dartmoor TSA. He is an experienced Data Leader who supports two cross-phase MATs. He is currently Director of Performance for the Ted Wragg MAT.

Suzie Winter: Since January, Suzie has been the Strategic Student Data Analyst for Ivybridge Academy Trust. Previously Suzie was the Strategic Data Manager for Babcock LDP.

Please note that your school budget share will be debited on ledger code 7926 up to two weeks prior to attendance at this course, in line with the cancellation policy.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Course location, programme and any course materials will normally be sent to you prior to the start of the course. All cancellations must be sent in writing as soon as the applicant is aware that they are unable to attend. If the cancellation is received 6 weeks (or 30 working days) or more prior to the start of the course, cancellation will be free of charge. If the cancellation is received between 6 weeks and two weeks (10 working days) prior to the start of the course a cancellation charge of 50% of the course fee will apply. If the cancellation is received after this point a cancellation charge of 100% of the course fee will apply. Exeter Consortium has the right to amend or cancel any courses as a result of unforeseen circumstances.
