All Exeter Consortium member schools are invited to take part in the Dan the Skipping Man® Summer Skip.. a free event for everyone this summer. The idea is purely to get everyone skipping and build up skill level as we go. This starts off very simply at basic skill acquisition level to include as many people as we can. Each week we will release a video explaining 2 focus points for KS1/KS2 and secondary to develop skipping skill sets over time. Building to July 8th 2021 and the #DTSMSummerSkipLive - a Live skipping session with Dan, free for anyone who wants to join. We will be back soon with full details.. It will be via virtual link which we will send in the 4 weeks before, along with more information and a inspiration video to get the children ready. Its simple, it’s free and it is loads of fun! Follow this link where I explain how it works fully: The Jurassic Maths Hub is excited to be welcoming applications to join a new Work Group in 2021/22. In a major new initiative, the NCETM and Maths Hubs have announced a year-long programme to run in thousands of primary schools from September. It is aimed at strengthening the understanding of number, and fluency with number facts, among children in the first three years of school.
The programme is called Mastering number: a new programme for early primary pupils | NCETM there are places for up to 6,000 schools. It is wholly consistent with and complementary to the Primary Teaching for Mastery Programme, which has been running in more than 8,000 schools since 2016.
